Case manager recognized at health fair

Port St. Lucie – Catherina Nesci, a dependency case manager in Martin County, was awarded the United for Families Case Manager of the Quarter Award Dec. 5 during the organization’s Health for Life health fair.

United for families receives national accreditation

Port St. Lucie – United for Families is now among the accredited elite social service organizations on the Treasure Coast and throughout the nation.
The international Council on Accreditation announced this month its decision to accredit United for Families, bringing to close a 15-month process of self study and outside evaluation.

Health for Life offers variety of life choices for dealing with stress

Stuart – Pregnant bodies struck yoga poses, karate masters split boards and alternative dance instructors demonstrated the physical demands of burlesque – all part of United for Families Health for Life fair, held Dec. 5 at Indian Riverside Park.
The health fair was part of United for Families’ quarterly training series for local child-welfare professionals. It was designed to help those professionals identify resources that will help them cope with the difficulties of their jobs.

Morin joins United for Families board

Port St. Lucie – Penny Morin, bank manager for Seacoast National Bank is the latest member to join the United for Families’ Board of Directors.
Morin, a Port St. Lucie resident, is one of 11 board directors for United for Families, the non-profit organization that coordinates and oversees child-welfare services throughout the Treasure Coast and Okeechobee.
